Have you ever admired the beautiful, intricate and temporary henna designs that are the latest trend across the U.S.? Henna body art has been used since ancient times in may cultures. Here is your chance to try it. You’ll choose from a variety of designs-modern and traditional-to apply to your own skin. Although often mistaken for a tattoo, henna is a plant stain that lasts from two to four weeks. Results will vary, but the past should remain undisturbed on the skin for four hours to allow dye to hold. Apply it yourself or bring an adventurous friend to work with. For those who don’t wish to stain their skin, wood and paper will be provided. Students will receive a henna kit containing enough materials for several applications at home. You must be 18 years old to participate, or bring your parent or guardian. Instructor: Anita Bohrer
