The North American Rock Garden Society is seeking illustrations to grace the cover of their newsletter, “Rock Garden Quarterly.” Explore the beauty and variety of our own internationally acclaimed Rock Alpine Garden with a Gardens expert and learn about its 5,000 species of plants from around the world. Discussion, demonstration and individual attention will guide you to depict the tiny alpine flora effectively and beautifully. Sketch in the Rock Alpine Garden and draw from specimens in the classroom. Work either in graphite or color to create a contender for the covers. Prerequisite: Pencil I, and the initial class of the color medium in which you would like to work.
