Hunting mushrooms is a national pastime in Russia, and fungi is the subject of the botanical artwork by Alexander Viazmensky. His paintings are included in several important collections, such as the Hunt Institute of Botanical Documentation, the Millesgården Museum in Stockholm, the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, the Lindley Library in London, and the Dr. Shirley Sherwood Collection. This workshop will focus on learning techniques used by Sasha to create his unique paintings. He teaches by demonstration. Sasha lives in St. Petersburg, Russia, so don’t miss the opportunity to learn from this visiting master artist. Fee: $220 member, $264 non-member.
