Composition for Botanical Illustration

October 16, 6:00 PM-8:00 PM
Denver Botanic Gardens

$183.00 (Member) / $220.00 (Non Member)

The difference between a “nice” picture and “fabulous” artwork is often found in composition. The arrangement of elements in artwork is an art form in itself. A slide presentation starts you off with principles of composition and demonstrates the use of composition throughout the history of art. Through step-by-step guidance, you will learn the elements and principles of composition. Examine and diagram preexisting art works, and you will discover how to develop and arrange the lines, shapes and colors of your own art. Creating your own compositions gives you insight and expertise to enhance all of your future illustrations. Fee: $183 member, $220 non-member. All students are welcome, with no prerequisites.
