August 14, 6:00 PM—9:00 PM
Denver Botanic Gardens

$183.00 (Member) / $220.00 (Non Member)

Small is sweet, but sometimes big is better! Enjoy a contemporary take on botanical art as you move in close to your subject. Choose a favorite plant and learn the skills to capture its “best side”, and focus on its best features. Composition considerations will help you to work on a larger scale. Learn techniques to draw at actual size and then crop and enlarge your drawing to emphasize form and drama. Whether the result is 4 inches square or 18 X 24 inches, you’ll produce a powerful, modern graphite portrait of your plant. Fee $183 member, $220 nonmember. Prerequisite: Pencil I
