Rocky Mountain Gardening Certificate Program Elective
Two Tuesdays, Sept. 23 and Sept. 30, 6-8 p.m.
Get a thorough overview of rock gardening in our region from Mike Kintgen, the horticulturist in charge of the Gardens’ spectacular Rock Alpine Garden. Mike will review the history of rock gardening and introduce you to some outstanding public and private rocks gardens. In the first class, he will present construction details for do-it-yourselfers, as well as how to select stone and where to get it. The second class will cover plant selection, with an emphasis on both xeric choices and plants for high elevation gardens, along with local plant sources.
Walkin registrations will be charged a $10 late fee.
