Kundalini Yoga

March 01, 5:15 PM-6:45 PM
Denver Botanic Gardens

$8.00 (member) / $10.00 (non member)

Kundalini Yoga focuses on awakening your energy and unlocking your inner potential through specific breathing, movements, stretching, meditation and mantra. This ancient and sacred practice is the oldest form of Yoga, kept secret by advanced yogis until recently. As taught by Yogi Bhajan, Ph.D., Master of Kundalini Yoga, this powerful and effective form of Yoga is a great way to recharge and heal your body quickly. A typical Kundalini yoga class will start and end with the most beautiful and ancient chants which open and calm the heart. Then we proceed with a carefully planned sequence of postures, movements and breathing exercises, called a kriya, that bring about quick and powerful transformation on all levels. How? By stimulating the nervous and immune systems, while improving strength and flexibility, as it centers the mind and opens the spirit. From your very first class, you’ll reap the rewards, including relief from back pain, stress, addiction, depression and insomnia, and weight control. Kundalini Yoga promises you peace of mind. Elevate and experience yourself through this ancient science! All levels welcome, no experience required. Each session is unique; we recommend that you try at least two or three sessions. Single session: $8 member, $10 non-member (drop-in only). Full spring series: $100/$120. Sessions include a handout and background on yoga history and culture. Please bring water and a yoga mat. Instructor: Chris Anne Coviello
All dates are in Gates Hall (except January 25 and April 26, Morrison Center)
Registration opens October 15
